Blake Wood

Principal and Founding Member

Blake Wood has more than 30 years’ experience as a software, Cloud and cybersecurity specialist across multiple disciplines and vertical industries, including 10 years in financial services and payments where he helped develop and shape the PCI-P2PE certification standard.

Mr. Wood has served the management teams of eight early-stage ventures and as a senior director executing partner go-to-market strategies for data security products and service offerings for Verifone, HPE, Micro Focus, Thales, Bluefin Payment Systems and Secude. Blake has a broad skill set which spans the lifecycle of product development, partner alliances, business development, sales and marketing.

Blake has a BS in Engineering from Cal State Long Beach and is a subject matter expert consultant to entrepreneurs, investors and analysts on various software offers, cybersecurity products and Cloud services. He maintains CISSP, CCSP and CCP professional certifications, and is a patent author for a data tokenization method designed for payment fraud detection.
